Deprecating Old Navigation

MoEngage has officially completed its transition to our modern navigation framework. To ensure all users benefit from the latest performance enhancements and feature accessibility, the "Classic" interface has been deprecated.

Key Highlights:

  • Mandatory Migration: Effective April 1, 2026, all accounts will be moved to the new navigation. The Switch to Classic toggle will no longer be available.
  • Streamlined UX: The updated interface reduces menu clutter and enhances feature discoverability, ensuring a more efficient workflow for marketing teams.
  • Performance Improvements: The new framework provides a more responsive environment, built to support future platform capabilities.
  • Global Availability: This transition is complete across all data centers.

Introducing Dark Mode

We are excited to introduce Dark Mode, offering a sleek, high-contrast alternative to the standard MoEngage interface. This update allows users to customize their workspace for reduced eye strain and improved focus. Navigate to Profile > Appearance to toggle between themes.

Re-evaluate Campaign Eligibility for In-App and OSM

MoEngage has introduced real-time campaign eligibility re-evaluation for In-app and On-site Messaging (OSM). This ensures your users always see the most relevant content based on their current status without needing to restart the app.

Note: To use this feature, ensure you are on In-app Android SDK version 9.7.0+ or iOS SDK version 7.04.0+.

When the Re-evaluate campaign eligibility before displaying toggle is enabled, the SDK performs a live backend check when a trigger occurs. If a user's attributes change mid-session (such as upgrading from "Free" to "Paid"), the SDK will automatically drop the outdated campaign and fetch content relevant to their new state.

No-Code Gamification for On-site Messaging

MoEngage has introduced no-code gamification templates for On-site Messaging (OSM), bringing interactive experiences like Spin the Wheel and Scratch Cards to your website.

These templates are fully customizable within a user-friendly editor, allowing you to design compelling engagement campaigns without writing any code. You can use these templates to capture leads, distribute coupons, and drive higher conversion rates by offering rewards through a fun, interactive interface.

Whether it is a virtual "scratch-off" to reveal a mystery discount or a prize wheel to encourage sign-ups, these templates help create a memorable experience for your website visitors.

Flows Enhancement: Localized Stats and Real-Time Segments

MoEngage has upgraded Flows with localized precision and real-time execution. These enhancements eliminate timezone confusion and data refresh lags, ensuring your campaigns trigger and report with total accuracy.

  • App Timezone Reporting: Flow stats are now aligned with your configured App Timezone instead of GMT. Monitor performance against your actual business hours without manual calculations.
  • Real-Time Custom Segments: We have expanded the Real-Time Segment Engine (RTSE) to cover Custom Segments. Users who qualify now enter Flows instantly, bypassing the previous 3-hour refresh cycle.
  • Seamless Transition: New Flows automatically adopt local time zones, while existing active Flows maintain GMT for data continuity.
  • Performance Optimization: Eligible campaigns are automatically upgraded to real-time execution upon their next edit and re-publish.

  • Drag-and-Drop Reordering: Take total control over branch priority. Easily drag branches to reorder them, ensuring users enter the correct path based on your preferred logic hierarchy.
  • Classic View Toggle: Flexibility remains a priority—switch back to the "Classic View" at any time if you prefer the traditional configuration interface.

Maintain your global email subscription lists and protect your sender reputation with our new Suppression Updates feature. This update provides powerful, self-serve tools to ensure that users who have opted out, bounced, or complained are securely restricted from receiving marketing emails.

  • Bulk Import for Easy Migration: Moving from a legacy ESP? Seamlessly bulk-import your historical suppression lists (bounces, unsubscribes, and spam complaints) via CSV to protect your sender reputation from day one.

  • Self-Serve Status Management: Take full control of your lists. Unsubscribe or resubscribe individual users directly in self-serve-enabled workspaces without needing to raise support tickets.

  • Transactional Email Protection: Maintain strict global suppression lists for your marketing campaigns without blocking critical, time-sensitive alerts such as OTPs or password resets.

  • Automated SendGrid Sync: If you use MoEngage Managed Email, reachability updates are automatically propagated to SendGrid to keep your non-transactional senders perfectly compliant with zero manual effort.

  • Granular Event Tracking: MoEngage now automatically generates precise system events (such as Email Resubscribed, Email Bounce Reset, or Email Complained) whenever a user's suppression status changes.
