How To Set Up Your Email Domain?

Setting up your email domain on MoEngage is quicker and easier, enabling you to start sending promotional, triggered, or transactional emails without delays. This article walks you through the key steps and best practices to raise a request using AIRA.

Prerequisites

• Access to the MoEngage dashboard.
• The email domain that you want to set up.

Instructions

Perform the following steps to submit a request to set up your new email domain using the AIRA bot directly from the MoEngage dashboard:

1. To launch the AIRA bot, click on Need help and then select Support.
   
2. Click on Ask a question and type your prompt in the chat window.

3. Select the Email Domain Type:
   You can now submit a request to configure one or more email domain types from AIRA directly to raise a request:
   1. Transactional for critical messages such as order confirmations or password resets.
   2. Promotional for marketing and campaign-related emails.
   3. Triggered for behavior-based communications like cart abandonment emails.
      

      info	Information Use your root domain only for transactional emails. For all other types, it is recommended to configure a subdomain to maintain sender reputation and improve deliverability.

4. Submit Domain Details:
   Once your request is submitted, the following steps are initiated:
   
   1. DNS Record Generation: The MoEngage team will generate the necessary DNS records for your specified domains.
   2. DNS Configuration: You need to add the provided records to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare).

   3. Validation: Once done, inform the MoEngage team after the records are added so we can validate and activate your domain.

5. Domain Activation:
   After successful validation, your domain will be configured and ready to send emails with MoEngage.
