These terms should help you as you begin your journey on MoEngage.
1. User Profile
MoEngage creates a user profile for every person that launches your app and visits your website.
The segmentation feature allows you to segment your users based on their attributes and actions in your app/website. You can follow it up by creating a campaign targeted to these segments.
MoEngage Analytics helps you understand how your users interact with your web and mobile apps. You can use it to track events and analyze trends to measure the performance of your app and campaigns.
Events track the actions that users perform in your app or website. For example - launching an app, viewing a product, sharing a song, making a purchase, etc.
5. Key Metrics
Key Metrics is a dashboard page that provides all the important & necessary information of day-to-day use for marketers. A quick glance at Key metrics shows usage, engagement, and performance metrics of the product.
SDK (Software Development Kit) is integrated into iOS and Android applications and provides powerful marketing, customer support, and analytics tools. MoEngage offers SDK integration for both iOS and Android.
MoEngage API provides a web service where you can send actions taken by your users directly via HTTP, rather than through the mobile SDKs. This allows you to pass user data to MoEngage that is not tracked within your app or website.
MoEngage allows multiple team members to be added to the same account. There are 5 Access roles (Admin, Manager, Marketer, Developer & Analyst) with different permissions. Learn more on MoEngage roles
A team is a group of MoEngage users using Moengage’s dashboard who collaborate on the same campaigns. These users can be from the same geography or from the same vertical within the enterprise. Read more about MoEngage teams here.

Every MoEngage account for an app/web provides two different environments - TEST and LIVE. We support this with a single APP ID (available under App Settings) which is your MoEngage identifier.
12. Campaign Approval Flow
Campaign approval allows Marketing teams to control/review the campaigns that are going live by putting in place a creator-approver (maker-checker) approach.
13. Dynamic Product Messaging
You can include your product catalogs in your campaigns using Dynamic Product Messaging.
Triggers are messages that are sent to the device when the user does a trigger event. Messages are served only to the device from which the trigger event is happening and are served in real-time.
MoEngage’s powerful machine learning engine automatically maximizes campaign engagement by predicting and sending the right message at the right time
16. Integration Validation
Once the developer realizes that their integration of MoEngage Android SDK is over, they can validate their MoEngage Android SDK integration.
