Dashboard Settings - Revamp Summary

We have revamped our Dashboard Settings to facilitate an improved user experience. This article highlights the revamped changes.

New Features

The following features have been added as part of the revamped UI:

  1. Settings Landing Page - To navigate to the Landing Page, click on Settings in the MoEngage Dashboard. The Landing Page lists all the configurable roles accessible for your role. The following sections are available:

    6. Preference management

    Advanced settings

    This section contains the following settings:

    1. Control groups
    2. Tags
    3. Locales
    4. Custom domain
    5. UTM tracking
    6. Conversion and tracking

    Reports and Alerts

    This section contains the following settings:

    1. Alert management
    2. Dashboard subscriptions
    3. Proactive assistant

    Miscellaneous

    This section contains the following settings:

    1. Inform
  2. Search Capability in Settings - you can look up a setting by typing the desired keyword and clicking on the search icon, as illustrated in the following image. The search lists the navigations containing the relevant keyword, and clicking on the result takes you to the corresponding setting. The most recent searches are also displayed upon further searches to facilitate a better user experience.

Summary of Changes

Section (old UI) Changes
App

The App section has been merged into the Account section and is not referred to as Account in the revamped UI.

The following sub-sections have been revamped and reorganized to improve user experience:

  1. General settings - Conversion and Attribution have been moved out of this section. They are now present under Advanced Settings.
  2. APIs - Regrouping of API keys into a separate section. 
  3. The Content APIs section has been moved out of the APIs section to Advanced Settings.
  4. Teams have been renamed as Team management. Members, Roles, and Teams have been integrated into the Team management suite. 
  5. Analytics and Data management have been clubbed together, forming a new section named Analytics and Data. For more information, refer to Analytics and Data.
  6. Alert management has been moved to Reports and Alerts.
  7. Audit Logs and Billing have been revamped for an improved user experience.
Login

Grouping and movement of Security settings (Login, 2-step verification, and Firewall) from Settings -> Login to Settings -> Account -> Security.

SMS & Connectors
  1. The SMS & Connectors channel is now called SMS.
  2. Connectors are now called Service Providers in the revamped UI.
  3. The SMS channel's configuration settings have been revamped for an improved user experience.
  4. Senders are listed on the Sender Configuration page, with the default sender being listed first. Sender logos have been added for ease of use.
  5. Decoupling the Subscription & Keywords tabs into separate tabs (Subscription management and Keyword management).
  6. The Data tab has been renamed as PII tokenization.
Advanced Settings

The following settings have been regrouped and are now available under Advanced Settings:

  1. Locales (moved from App-> General)
  2. Content APIs (moved from APIs)
  3. Campaign Tags (moved from App-> General)
  4. Conversion and Attribution (moved from App -> General)
  5. Custom Domain (moved from SMS and WhatsApp channels)
  6. UTM tracking
Reports and Alerts

This is a new menu option that contains the following settings (moved from Settings -> App):

  1. Alert management
  2. Dashboard subscriptions
  3. Proactive assistant
Miscellaneous Inform Settings have been moved from App to Miscellaneous.

The changes in each of these settings are explained in the following sections.

App

The App section has been merged with Account and is now referred to as Account in the revamped UI. 

APIs

The Workspace ID is now available at the top, and the API keys are available in a separate section, as illustrated in the following image.
