January Release - Enhanced Uninstall Tracking, Better Campaign Management, Importing Users as Segment & more!

The first Product Update of the year adds powerful functionality to execute your user engagement strategy. Every app uninstall is now tracked as an event with data about user life-cycle activity before the uninstall. Campaign management has been revamped so that you can easily view active campaigns, and run filters based on campaign type, status and created date. You can also import users into a Custom Segment by uploading a CSV list of users. Now, you can also create user segments based on their location. More details on each are described below:

Enhanced Uninstall Tracking

We have added a derived event "Device Uninstall" under Segmentation through which you can now filter uninstalled users on the basis of life-cycle of the user before the uninstall. The following event attributes are available as filters for Device Uninstall event:

  1. Days since last active - represents the number of days between last active time and uninstall time
  2. Days till last active - represents the number of days between install time and last active time
  3. Install time
  4. Last Active time
  5. Lifetime (days) - represents the number of days between install time and uninstall time

With this user data, you can identify the segment of users which are churning and modify your engagement strategy (onboarding, activation, retention etc.) to prevent future churn. You can also reach out to uninstalled users through email campaigns to get feedback or update them about improved app experience (pro tip - you can create a recurring email campaign for un-installed users).

Revamped “All Campaigns” page

On this page, along with all campaigns, you can now see your active and recent campaigns with a single click on that number. Also, it is now easier for you to find a campaign by either searching or by using the "Advanced Filters". The advanced filters are as follows:

  1. Created Date
  2. Campaign Type
  3. Campaign Status

Import User Segments

This gives you flexibility to create and target user segments you have identified through some user analysis at your end. You can upload and import a list of users containing one of the user attributes to identify that user and a custom segment containing those users will be created.

 

Location based segmentation

This will enable you to target your users based on their location.

In case, user has given access to their location, you can create a segment either through Lat-long with radius or through map based search. You can pass location (lat/lng) data in event attributes as well and segment based on that.

 

In case the user has not given access to their location, you can still create segments based on their Last known location attributes such as Country, State, City & Pincode
