This feature is available only if you have set up the MoEngage Default Connector for emails. Suppression list is a list of email addresses who will not be sent any email even when they fall in a campaign's segment - basically these email addresses are suppressed from any email communication.
This list consists of users - who have earlier unsubscribed or their email addresses bounced or they reported a spam complaint - whenever they were sent an email via MoEngage. This database of users is auto-populated as you started sending email campaigns. So, if you have been using MoEngage Default Connector already, this list will already consists of users' email addresses.
You can see this list under SUPPRESSION LIST tab here. You will be able to see current suppression list and manually add unsubscribed/bounced/complaint users or remove resubscribed users (who can be sent the emails again) from this list as described below in this article.
Adding Unsubscribed Users
You can EITHER add a single email address specifying the suppression reason
OR select the Bulk Upload radio button on the top right to upload a CSV file of email addresses to be added to suppression list. Please download the sample CSV file to adhere to the format of uploading the CSV. Upon successful processing of the CSV, you will be notified via an email about the addition.
Note: After adding email(s) to the suppression list, it takes approximately 15-20 mins for it to be reflected in our database.
Removing Resubscribed Users
Toggle the Add-Remove switch to Remove Resubscribed users. You can EITHER remove a single email address
OR select the Bulk Upload radio button on the top right to upload a CSV file of email addresses to be removed from suppression list. Please download the sample CSV file to adhere to the format of uploading the CSV. Upon successful processing of the CSV, you will be notified via an email about the removal.
Current Suppression List - Search, View & Remove Users
The current suppression list can be viewed in the second section of Suppression List.
Start typing the email address in the Search Box. If the email is present in the visible list, you will be able to see the user in the result. In case there are no results, type the entire email address and press Enter. If the email is present in the list, it will show up in the results. You can then either view the user by clicking on Human icon under Actions or remove it by clicking on the Bin icon under Actions.
You can filter the list EITHER by Suppression Reason (Unsubscribed, Bounce, Spam Complaint or Manually Added) OR by Suppression Date and click on Filter Button.
Select & Remove Users
You can select multiple users from the list by selecting the checkbox to the left of each entry and click DELETE SELECTED to remove these users from the suppression list.
