Understand Derived Filters in Segmentation

Segmentation enables you to segment your customers based on user attributes (essentially user properties) and user events (actions performed by the user along with event attributes). MoEngage, by default, derives certain user attributes/events which are shown under Derived Filters in segmentation drop-down.

Derived Filter Definition
App Conversions No. of conversion recorded as per the conversion goal mentioned under App Settings. Selecting this App Conversion goal would also display a time-series graph on Key Metrics in the Dashboard
App Opened One App opened event is recorded for one session. For defintion of session, refer below Row# 12
Last Seen The time stamp when the user last used the App
LTV The Life Time Value of the user. It is dependent on the Revenue attribute for the App
Last Known City The city where the user was last tracked
Last Known Pincode The pincode where the user was last tracked
Last Known State The state where the user was last tracked
Last Known Country The country where the user was last tracked
No. Of Sessions A session is a group of interactions that take place on the app. A session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity and a new session is created if there is an activity after 30 minutes.
Segment Used to find Uninstall users
Signed Up The Date & Time when the user was first seen on MoE, it is not directly related to an Install
INSTALL Install is a special event you can send from the SDK to signify an Install.
UPDATE Update is a special event you can send from the SDK to signify that the user who updated to an App with the MoE SDK was actually an old user and not a new Install
Device Uninstall This event is tracked when an uninstall is identified from a user’s device
